Among the Filipino nominees in the highly coveted Outstanding Asian Star category are Paulo, Kim, Anne Curtis, Dingdong Dantes, Joshua Garcia, Gerald Anderson, Carlo Aquino, Angelica Panganiban, Bela Padilla, and Shaina Magdayao.
Despite being nominated in the same category, Kim chose to put the spotlight on Paulo. She took to social media to encourage her followers to vote for her co-star instead, saying she was excited about the possibility of him winning and delivering an acceptance speech in Korean.

Kim Chiu is a Filipina actress, television host, and singer who rose to fame after winning Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition in 2006. She is widely known in local showbiz as the “Chinita Princess.” After her PBB victory, she became one of ABS-CBN’s top actresses and starred in hit teleseryes such as Sana Maulit Muli, My Girl, Ina, Kapatid, Anak, and Love Thy Woman.
