The veteran actress reflected on how those experiences shaped her not only as a daughter but also as a mother herself.
When asked how Nora influenced the way she raises her own children today, Matet shared that she tries to create a fun and playful environment at home.
“Ngayon po, I am a fun mom. I play with them. Sinasakyan ko ’yung trip nila, ng panganay, ng pangalawa, at tsaka nung bunso. Very childish.”
Matet’s candid response drew smiles from viewers, with many appreciating her honesty and warmth as a parent. She explained that she enjoys bonding with her children by joining in their interests and personalities, regardless of their age differences.
The actress also implied that growing up under Nora Aunor’s care taught her the value of emotional connection and presence in family life. The emotional interview came amid continued public discussions involving the family following Nora Aunor’s passing and issues surrounding her estate. Despite the controversies, Matet emphasized throughout the interview that their family continues to focus on remembering and honoring their mother’s legacy.
