In his TikTok videos and transcribed on X by @CrimsonSchemer, Dyogi described the experience as both difficult and rewarding, noting that the group’s achievement came amid significant personal and organizational struggles.
He explained that the milestone was not only a victory for BINI but also for ABS-CBN, which has been navigating financial challenges in recent years.

“So I suppose this can also be a good sign — that something big will happen in the future. When we go through many struggles — personally, within ABS-CBN, and with BINI — it feels like we also receive many blessings. And I suppose today, this is one of the biggest blessings, not only for BINI, but for ABS-CBN. For the company to be able to bring BINI to Coachella, in spite of all our struggles financially, and for BINI to be able to do this… if you only knew what we went through before we came here.”

Dyogi then detailed the physical challenges faced by the group even before leaving for the United States, including health concerns that affected some members.
“Even before we flew here, Mikha had to have her wisdom teeth taken out — four of them, I think — because the pain was so severe. So she had to miss some classes because she needed to recuperate for more than a week. That’s just one of the challenges we faced.”
He added that preparations were further complicated by demanding rehearsals and logistical hurdles, particularly with visa processing for both the group and their dancers.
“And then, of course, there were rehearsals — the intensity of rehearsals. Then the visa applications — our visas, and the besties’ (the backup dancers) visas also took some time. Actually, some of the visas were released almost at the deadline. So that was really tough.”
Financial limitations also played a major role in shaping their Coachella journey. According to Dyogi, the team had to be extremely mindful of expenses, operating on a tight budget throughout the trip.
“And we had to be very prudent, we needed to save because ABS-CBN doesn’t have much funding right now. And whatever we were getting from Coachella was not enough for all our expenses… Good thing PAL (Philippine Airlines) was able to help us with the airfare.”
He further shared how cost-cutting measures affected their operations, including downsizing their team and adopting a more hands-on, communal lifestyle while abroad.
“But budget-wise, we really had to cut down on the team. This is a very lean team… We help each other with food, groceries, and cleaning the house. We live in one house… Coach Mickey is even driving a rented vehicle.”
Dyogi also emphasized how expensive conditions in the United States added to their challenges, noting rising costs across basic needs and accommodations.
“At Coachella, everything is expensive… Because of the war, things here in America are more expensive — service charges are high, Airbnb is expensive, even basic purchases are costly.”
Despite these hardships, Dyogi expressed admiration for the members of BINI, praising their humility, teamwork, and willingness to endure difficulties without complaint.
“And the girls — I have so much respect for them. They have no complaints, no attitude. They are willing to rough it out… They cook for themselves, they wash dishes, they clean up.”
He highlighted that their shared mission—to represent Filipino artistry on a global stage—kept everyone focused and motivated.
“Because we came here for a mission — not only for BINI to be introduced globally, but to be a good representation of Filipino artistry.”
Dyogi concluded by revealing one of the most difficult moments leading up to their performance, when a member had to be rushed for medical attention.
“It’s hard, very hard. You probably didn’t notice, but the day before the first performance, we had to bring Gwen to urgent care, because she was in so much pain and she was given pain medication intravenously.”
The revelations have given fans a deeper appreciation of BINI’s Coachella milestone, highlighting not just the performance itself, but the sacrifices behind it.
BINI is composed of eight members: Jhoanna Robles, Aiah Arceta, Colet Vergara, Maloi Ricalde, Gwen Apuli, Stacey Sevilleja, Mikha Lim, and Sheena Catacutan. Formed under ABS-CBN’s Star Music, the group rose to fame through chart-topping songs like “Pantropiko,” “Salamin, Salamin,” and “Karera.” Their music, often centered on empowerment and youthful energy, has positioned them as one of the leading acts in the growing P-pop industry.
In a related report, Aiah Arceta shared an emotional message from a Filipino-Canadian fan who said BINI’s Coachella performance helped heal insecurities about identity. The message underscored the importance of global representation for Filipinos, something the group has consistently advocated. BINI members expressed gratitude for the opportunity to inspire audiences worldwide through their music and story.
Earlier, BINI also publicly voiced their support for ABS-CBN amid ongoing controversies surrounding the network. In a heartfelt statement, the group thanked the company for believing in them and helping them achieve their dreams. Their message emphasized loyalty, gratitude, and shared success, earning praise from fans and fellow artists alike.
