Kapuso actor Jon Lucas has announced the arrival of his third child, a baby boy named Calvin Arthur, marking a joyful milestone for his family.

The Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre star shared the news through an Instagram post on Friday, April 17, alongside a heartfelt photo of himself holding his newborn son.
He began his caption by explaining that he had long wanted to share the news but chose to wait until the baby had already arrived before making the announcement public.
“I’ve been wanting to share this with you guys, pero sabi ko next time na lang siguro kapag nandito na siya. Kaya hindi ko na rin papatagalin—hey guys, I’d like you to meet my son, CALVIN! Pinanganak siya ngayong April 17 at exactly 10 in the morning.”

He then revealed a deeply personal detail, sharing that his son’s birthday holds special meaning for their family because it coincides with the birthday of his late father, Arturo.
“Yes po, share ko na rin sainyo na ka-birthday siya ng aking namayapang Daddy Arturo. Kaya sobrang special talaga sa amin ang araw na ito. Parang buhay na buhay lalo ang alaala ng daddy naming.”
Jon also took the opportunity to thank the medical team who assisted in the delivery, highlighting their long-standing relationship with the same doctor who helped bring his other children into the world.
“Nagpapasalamat ako sa mga nakasama namin dito sa @jdmhph , lalo na kay Dra. Elissa Teng-Unas na kasama na namin mula pa kina Brycen at Brionna, at ngayon naman kay Calvin. Iba talaga sila mag-alaga dito at marami po ang magpapatunay niyan.”
In a more reflective portion of his message, Jon opened up about his faith, noting that despite appearances on social media, life has not always been easy, but he and his family have never felt abandoned.
“Higit sa lahat, nagpapasalamat kaming mag-asawa sa Diyos. Kahit mukhang nakakaluwag-luwag dahil sa sigla kong mag-post ng mga show, sa totoo lang, hindi laging may sobra. Ang tanging totoo sa buhay ko ay hindi kami kailanman pinabayaan ng Ama.”
He continued by emphasizing how his belief that “God will provide” has guided him through difficult moments, especially when help arrives at the most crucial times.
“Ilang taon ko nang nararamdaman at pinanghahawakan yung ‘God will provide.’ Kapag kailangan na kailangan ko na, doon ibinubuhos ng Ama ang biyaya.”
The actor also reflected on a deeper sense of purpose and timing, suggesting that past experiences were leading up to this significant moment in their lives.
“Ang galing nga rin talaga kasi kaya pala si Daron ay nakasama pa natin nang matagal, dahil papunta pala sa mga araw na ito, meron pa siyang mas mahalagang misyon sa mundo ng mga tao. Kaya pala kinailangan niyang magtrabaho, dahil may higit pa sa ginto na naghihintay sa kanya.”
He concluded his message by expressing gratitude to supporters and offering praise to God, ending the announcement with his son’s full name.

Last January, Jon commemorated the second anniversary of his father Arturo S. Lucas Jr.’s passing with an emotional tribute and throwback photos. He reflected on how he still feels his father’s absence in moments he wishes they could talk, seek advice, or celebrate life together. Jon shared that his father continues to guide and strengthen him despite his passing. He ended by expressing deep longing and lasting gratitude for his father’s love and lessons.
Months ago, Jon lost his wallet while carrying his son in heavy rain and was shocked to discover it was missing, as it contained his license, ATM card, and cash. It was later found and returned intact by a group of delivery men, prompting him to express gratitude and reflect on the kindness of strangers.
