In a social media post, Dingdong revealed that he, his wife Marian Rivera, and their children Zia and Sixto have begun a special Easter tradition—one centered on reflection, intention, and connection.
“It’s slowly becoming an Easter tradition for us to sit down and write our dreams, wishes, prayers, and reflections. For ourselves, for each other, and even for the world around us,” he shared.
This year, the family chose a quiet setting to carry out the tradition, allowing them to slow down and be fully present with one another.

According to Dingdong, what stood out most during this year’s activity was how his children’s thoughts and perspectives have matured over time.
“What I appreciated more this time was seeing how their views are slowly taking shape. You notice it in what they choose to say, in how they see things,” he said.
He recalled how Zia expressed a wish for global peace, particularly for war to end—something that struck him deeply.
“One wished for the war to stop, reminding me how children see the world without filters, just with hope,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, Sixto shared a more lighthearted but equally meaningful reflection, connecting health and family in a simple yet sincere way.
“The other talked about broccoli… Now he wishes for everyone to be healthy… so people can live longer,” Dingdong shared with humor.
However, what moved him the most was when his children expressed gratitude toward him and Marian.

“But what really stayed with me was when they said, ‘Thank you for the sacrifice, Dad and Mom.’ As parents, that hits differently,” he admitted.
Dingdong reflected on how, as parents, much of their effort goes unnoticed in daily life, as they simply continue working and providing in the hope that their children will one day understand.
He also credited Marian for helping guide their children in recognizing those sacrifices and instilling values of gratitude and understanding.
“I’m grateful to my wife for always helping them see that, for reminding them why we do what we do,” he added.
The moment led him to reflect on a deeper spiritual truth tied to the meaning of Easter—the ultimate sacrifice and the hope that comes with it.
“That the greatest sacrifice has already been made. That’s the reason we are here. The reason we are saved. The reason we keep going,” he wrote.
Ending his message on a hopeful note, Dingdong encouraged embracing renewal and letting go of burdens.
“And now that He has risen, maybe this is our reminder to leave behind what weighs us down and rise with Him… With renewed faith. With the dreams of our children. With all our prayers. Happy Easter.”
