On Sunday, March 15, Mariel took to Instagram to share a preview of her latest vlog on her YouTube channel, which was dedicated to honoring the life of her beloved grandmother, whom she fondly called Lola May. The preview featured a collection of photos showing Lola May throughout the years. The short clip was accompanied by a voiceover from part of Mariel’s eulogy, where she emotionally expressed gratitude to her grandmother for raising her and her sister.
In the caption accompanying the video preview, Mariel explained that the vlog was her way of celebrating a woman who played a significant role in shaping her life.
“In celebration of International Women's Month, what better way to honor it than by paying tribute to a woman who embodies passion and kindness toward others?” Mariel wrote, introducing the inspiration behind the tribute.
