Vice Governor Alex Castro and dancer Joshua Zamora shared their thoughts on the controversial remarks made by Alvin Aragon, the husband of former SexBomb Girl Izzy Trazona, during their appearance on GMA’s Fast Talk With Boy Abunda.

The issue began after Aragon made comments criticizing certain choices made by the husbands of other SexBomb Girls. In a past statement, he questioned why some husbands allowed their wives to perform and wear certain outfits during concerts.

“Sinasabi nila, ’Buti pa ‘yung asawa ni Sunshine, vice governor, pinayagan sila mag-concert.’ Dapat nga hindi eh. Dapat nga, ’yung asawa mo, ingatan mo. Hindi mo hahayaang mag-suot ng mga damit na para pagnasaan ng mga lalaki,” Aragon said.

Castro, who is married to SexBomb Girl Sunshine Garcia, responded by emphasizing that relationships differ from couple to couple and that respect for those differences is important.

“May kaniya-kaniya tayong paniniwala, kung papaano ’yung relasyon natin sa asawa natin, kung papaano natin suportahan. Kapag kininompare mo na kasi ’yung sarili mo sa iba at sasabihin mo na ikaw ang tama at mali ‘yung isa, du’n na po nagkakaroon ng problema,” Castro explained.

“Kailangan mag-ingat tayo kasi ’yung conviction, para sa ‘kin, it’s the conviction. Kung wala ka nitong conviction, parang kahit ano na lang, pwede mong itapon e. Parang mawawala na lang ’yung wisdom mo, how you will say it, mawawala ’yung love, being compassionate,” Zamora said.

Izzy Trazona first gained fame as one of the original members of the SexBomb Girls, the dance group that became hugely popular through their performances on Eat Bulaga. In recent years, she has been vocal about her faith and has shared her spiritual journey together with her husband Alvin. Her eldest child from a previous relationship, Sofia Trazona, is a well-known Filipina transgender woman and drag performer who first captured public attention in 2023 after debuting her drag persona in the Bunganga Battle Royale competition. Since then, Sofia has evolved from a social media content creator into a prominent voice in the local drag community, advocating for self-expression and trans representation.

According to Boy Abunda, the pastor explained that Aragon’s beliefs reflect views held by many Christians but should be communicated with compassion.
