According to Abunda, the pastor explained that Aragon’s views on the LGBT community and on the roles of fathers and husbands in the family are not different from what many Christians believe. However, Ng emphasized that such convictions should always be expressed with compassion.

He also appealed to the public to be more understanding toward Aragon, noting that Christians—especially those who are new in their faith—can sometimes become overly enthusiastic in sharing their beliefs. Over time, he said, they mature and learn to balance conviction with empathy.

“Bahagi ng kanyang statement ay sinasabi niyang, he has that belief of Alvin about the LGBT Community and the role of the father and the husband in the family is not different from the belief of other Christians.
"But [Ng] believes that Christians should share their conviction with compassion. Conviction and compassion must always come together.
"Naniniwala din siya that the public should be gracious towards Alvin. He noted that most Christians, especially in the early stages of their faith, could be overly passionate and excited about sharing their beliefs. But eventually daw they grow as Christians," he said.

The issue stemmed from Aragon’s previous statements that circulated online and drew strong reactions from netizens and several personalities. The pastor’s message adds another voice to the ongoing discussion, highlighting the importance of respectful dialogue even amid differing beliefs.

Her eldest child from a previous relationship, Sofia Trazona, is a recognized Filipina transgender woman and drag artist who stepped into the spotlight in 2023 when she debuted her drag persona in the Bunganga Battle Royale competition. From being a social media creator, Sofia has grown into an influential presence in the local drag scene, using her visibility to promote trans representation and self-expression.

In a related development, Sofia became emotional during her guest appearance on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda when she read a heartfelt letter from her biological father, Michael Navarro, on the February 24 episode of the program.
