Brazilian beauty queen and actress Priscilla Meirelles has confirmed that she is no longer married to actor John Estrada, revealing that she has already started the divorce process in her home country.

During her guest appearance on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda on GMA, Priscilla shared that as a foreign national, she has the legal right to file for divorce abroad and had already begun the process as early as 2024.
“We are no longer married, which means bilang isang foreigner may karapatan ako to divorce my husband… I went to Brazil and started the process of divorcing him. Actually, 2024, I already went to Brazil and I didn’t announce to anyone kasi ayaw kong magsalita ng mga bagay na hindi pa napapatunayan…
“So I went to Brazil, I process the papers I needed to process. I left a power of attorney to my lawyer to apply for divorce.

“For me, the marriage is no longer valid, I don’t see myself sharing a life with that person anymore. I fought for 14 years and I got to the point where hindi ko na kaya and I realized after a lot of things that happened, the best thing for me is to really move forward mag-isa.”
Priscilla also opened up about how John reacted when he was informed of her decision to formally end their marriage.
“He was not happy. The first sentence he said was ‘Pri, bakit ginawa mo ‘yan?’
“And sinabi ko sa kaniya, because as I’ve told you, I don’t see myself sharing a life with you anymore, and I don’t think there’s a reason to stay married to you if I don’t see myself with you as my partner, as my companion. I don’t see a future with you.”
John Estrada is a seasoned Filipino actor and former model who has maintained a long and stable career in television and film. He became known for his versatility, effortlessly shifting between comedy and drama in various projects. In his personal life, he was first married to actress Janice de Belen, with whom he has four children—Inah, Moira, Kaila, and Yuan—before their marriage was annulled in 2004. He later married Brazilian beauty queen Priscilla Meirelles in 2011, and they have a daughter named Sammanta Anechka.
Earlier, Priscilla Meirelles spoke about her current relationship with John Estrada, saying that they remain in communication and continue to work together as co-parents to their daughter. In an interview on Amy Austria-Ventura’s YouTube channel, she explained that their conversations are centered on what is best for their child. She emphasized that both of them make their daughter their top priority despite their separation.
