“To be honest, hindi po ako okay ngayon. Kahit mukhang masaya ako sa lahat ng posts ko, sobrang bigat po ng pinagdadaanan ko.
I was recently diagnosed with testicular cancer, and I need to undergo urgent surgery next week to prevent it from spreading. The total hospital cost is around 250K, and hindi ko po ito kayang ma-cover mag-isa.
Nakakahiya ito but gusto ko pa makita ang mga apo ko. Sa mga mabubuting puso, humbly asking for any financial help. Any amount will be a big help for my surgery and recovery. Parang gumuho ang mundo ko!
If you’re not able to donate, kahit prayers would mean so much.
Maraming salamat po sa inyong kindness and support. God bless you always.”
His post quickly drew sympathy and messages of support from fans and fellow performers, many of whom promised to include him in their prayers as he prepares for surgery and recovery.
Kenneth rose to fame after winning the That’s My Bae segment of Eat Bulaga, where he became known for his dancing skills, charisma, and strong fan following.
Aside from Kenneth Medrano, other personalities have recently made headlines because of their own battles with cancer.
Earlier, Brad Arnold, the lead vocalist of the band behind the hit song Here Without You, passed away at the age of 47 after fighting cancer. The group said he died peacefully on February 7 with his wife Jennifer and family by his side. As one of the founding members and original drummer of 3 Doors Down, Arnold played a key role in shaping the band’s sound during the early 2000s. The band also thanked fans worldwide for the overwhelming love and support shown to his family.
In another report, stand-up comedian Ate Gay has begun undergoing immunotherapy at the Asian Hospital and Medical Center as part of his treatment for Stage 4 cancer. He shared that he needs a total of twelve sessions scheduled every twenty-one days and that the treatment is very costly in the Philippines. Ate Gay expressed deep gratitude to a mysterious “angel” who has been helping cover the expenses for the medical procedures that strengthen the immune system to fight cancer cells.
