Grace Poe led her family in remembering her late mother, screen icon Susan Roces, through a heartfelt memorial mass and ìntìmate gathering held in honor of her birth anniversary.

The event served as both a tribute and a celebration of the enduring love and legacy left behind by the Queen of Philippine Movies.

Taking to social media, Poe shared poignant photos from the solemn event.

The mass was officiated by Rev. Father Allen Vic Cartagena, OSJ, who described Roces as “blessed and a blessing to others,” a sentiment that Poe echoed in her caption.

In her post, Poe also paid an emotional tribute to her mother’s memory, recalling the deceased screen legend’s compassion.

“The family gathered today to celebrate Mama’s birthday with a heartfelt memorial mass officiated by Rev. Father Allen Vic Cartagena, OSJ. Though she is no longer with us, her memory and love continue to bring us together,” she wrote.

“To quote Father Allen, 'She was blessed and was a blessing to others,'” Poe added.

In another moving post, Poe also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the public for keeping her mother’s memory alive.

“Maraming salamat sa lahat ng patuloy na nakakaalala kay Susan Roces,” she penned, acknowledging the continued outpouring of love from fans, friends, and supporters years after Roces’s passing in 2022.

Grace Poe is a famous politician, educator, businesswoman, and philanthropist. She became famous after her appointment into the National Movie and Television Review and Classification Board as a chairperson.
