The segment honored the late icons Nora Aunor, Pilita Corrales, Gloria Romero, Ricky Davao, and Hajji Alejandro, recognizing their significant contributions to Philippine entertainment.

In the segment, Diego sang “Superstar Ng Buhay Ko” by Cinderella. He likewise performed Nora’s “Handog” along with Jillian Ward, Vina Morales, Janno Gibbs, and Dingdong Avanzado.

Lotlot then took to Instagram Stories to post about her son’s heartfelt performance dedicated to Nora.

“Everytime I hear this song, it just hits different. Specially when I heard my son sing it for the first time,” Lotlot wrote, referring to the song “Handog.”

She went on to pen a heartwarming message to Diego.

“Thank you anak for doing this and singing it so beautifully for your Mama Guy. @diegodgutz. I love you.”

Nora Aunor was a celebrated Filipino actress, singer, and producer. Known as the 'Superstar of Philippine cinema, she has earned critical acclaim for her powerful performances in films such as Himala, Bona, and The Flor Contemplacion Story. Her contributions to the arts were recognized in 2022 when she was named National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts. In 1975, Nora married fellow actor Christopher de Leon. They have one biological son, Ian de Leon, and adopted four children: Lotlot, Matet, Kiko, and Kenneth de Leon.

Nora, also known as the Superstar of Philippine cinema passed away on April 16, 2025 due to acute respiratory failure following an angioplasty. She was 71 years old.

Previously, Lotlot de Leon expressed her pride and gratitude after her late mother Nora Aunor received the Presidential Medal of Merit from President Bongbong Marcos. Nora’s daughter posted screenshots of her siblings, including Ian and Matet de Leon, accepting the award on behalf of their mother. The actress called the honor a powerful affirmation of Ate Guy’s legacy in shaping Filipino culture and identity. She thanked the President, First Lady, and all the fans who continue to love and honor Nora Aunor’s memory.

In another report, the Office of the President and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. have taken care of the hospital bills, debts, and other expenses left behind by veteran actress and National Artist Nora Aunor, a Palace official confirmed. According to Communications Senior Undersecretary Ana Puod, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Mel Robles verified that it was the Office of the President and President Marcos himself who shouldered the late superstar’s financial obligations.
