Xian Lim soars to new heights as he earns his Commercial Pilot License

Actor, director, and now officially a licensed commercial pilot, Xian Lim just reached a thrilling new milestone in his personal and professional life. Known for his versatility and ambition, Lim announced via Instagram that he has successfully obtained his CPL—Commercial Pilot License—a journey he described as “life-changing.”

“CPL! Commercial Pilot License!” Xian wrote. “I still can’t believe it. Ang bilis ng mga pangyayari. This journey has truly been life-changing and I’m filled with gratitude. Hindi ako makapaniwala sa bilis ng mga pangyayari.”

Clearly emotional and excited, Lim went on to thank those who played vital roles throughout his aviation training at Top Flight Academy, where he’s been honing his flying skills.

”To my Top Flight Academy family, thank you for believing in me and pushing me beyond what I thought was possible. Everything happened so fast, pero you were there to guide me every moment, every step of the way!”

He gave special recognition to Capt. Chiclet Pecson, his primary instructor, who guided him through countless maneuvers and flight lessons with patience and perseverance.

“To Capt. @chiclet.pecson, thank you for your endless patience and dedication in guiding me sa flights. Every new maneuver, ’di ko talaga akalain na kakayanin ko pero you always pushed me na kakayanin. Susuka pero di susuko. Repetition, repetition, Repetition! Aerobatic maneuvers next! Lezzzgo!”

Lim also extended heartfelt thanks to Capt. Sahl Onglatco and the rest of the instructors at the academy, who never stopped motivating their students.

“To Capt. @sahl.onglatco and all our flight instructors, maraming salamat na you always keep us, students, motivated. There is always something to look forward to. Even when things get rough, you make sure we keep the fire burning.”

The actor didn’t forget to acknowledge his support group—his fellow aviation students—whom he fondly calls his “wingmans” and his “Indian friends from Nepal.”

“To my flymates… the wingmans and my Indian friends from Nepal, salamat ng marami for being there through every challenging maneuver, every ‘bad’ flight, and every failed exam. Having the best support group na magsasabing ‘Kaya ‘yan,’ ‘Bawi sa susunod,’ ‘Tara, review after class,’ ‘Tara, balikan Vigan,’ ‘Tara, pag-usapan natin yan,’ makes all the difference in the world and an experience like no other.”

Xian joked about his emotional high post-checkride: “Bakit ba ang haba ng caption? Lol. Masaya lang. Kakatapos lang ng checkride and adrenaline is still high. Nagkape pa ako kaya nga CPL: Coffee Powered License. Waley.”

But beneath the playful tone, Lim delivered a message full of inspiration for dreamers everywhere:

“Let this be a reminder to myself and to anyone reading this, chasing a dream, that nothing is impossible if you have the heart, the passion, and the right people around you. No matter how loud the world gets, sometimes all you need is one person, one crew, to tell you, you’ve got what it takes.”

Finally, he expressed his appreciation to fans who supported his passion for flying from the very beginning:

“To everyone who has been following my aviation journey, maraming salamat! This is only the beginning. Let’s keep flying.”

Xian Lim is a Pinoy actor, singer, host, model, blogger, and filmmaker. He was a Star Magic contract artist until he signed a contract with Viva Artists Agency in January 2018 and officially moved to GMA Network in 2022.

As previously reported by KAMI, Xian Lim spoke up about his breakup with Kapamilya star, Kim Chiu. Previously, in an interview with Nelson Canlas, Xian said he doesn't have to list who was at fault. According to Xian, the breakup was public since it came from them directly that they parted ways.

Meanwhile, Xian Lim's close friend, Sam Tamayo, also came forward to defend the actor. On Facebook, Sam told netizens to go "easy on the comment" about Xian's recent breakup. Sam then alleged it was Kim who broke things off with Xian. Aside from this, Sam clarified Xian's current relationship with Iris Lee as well.
