“Talagang feel ko na ang pagiging 78 years old ko,” she wrote. “At ang tangi ko na nga lang consolation pag naalala ko na iyon mga kasabay ko mas una nang umalis at actually sa batch namin ako na lang ang naiwan.”
Solis candidly opened up about her recent health scare, describing it as an “eye opener.” She admitted to experiencing mental lapses and physical weakness that made daily movements difficult. “Natakot nga ako dahil sobra ang pagiging forgetful ko… halos hindi ako makatayo kung minsan,” she shared, acknowledging the physical toll of age and accepting her limits.
Despite these challenges, she expressed gratitude for the energy and enthusiasm she still maintains. “Pasalamat nga ako actually dahil at my age parang energetic parin ang kilos at salita ko,” Solis said. However, she now recognizes the importance of slowing down, especially after realizing the risks that come with pushing herself too hard. “Baka bigla sa daan ako abutin ng sumpong, bigla ako mahilo, at matumba,” she admitted.

Solis also reflected on her deep love for the entertainment industry and the people in it. “I love showbiz. Showbiz people are my family. I will always treasure my beautiful memories all my life,” she wrote. She shared how touched she was by actor Bong Revilla’s words: “Habang buhay ako hindi siya hahanap ng PR/manager.”
Feeling blessed for her longevity and continued work, Solis looked ahead with a mix of hope and acceptance. “So lucky na inabot ko pa ang edad na 78… sure ako aabutin ko pa maging Presidente si Vico Sotto na sure ako iboboto ko. Pero handa narin ako kung hanggang saan lang ang ibibigay sa akin ng Langit.”
Lolit Solis is a well-known personality in the Philippine showbiz industry. Born on May 20, 1947, in Sampaloc, Manila, she started her career as an entertainment news writer and later became a talent manager and host of television talk shows.
In another report, Manay Lolit expressed disappointment over the partial senatorial election results, particularly Bong Revilla’s low ranking. She was alarmed by the number of votes Willie Revillame received and said she couldn’t accept the idea of him becoming a senator. Solis claimed that electing someone like Revillame would make the elections feel like a comedy and even called it a bad dream. The columnist urged voters to be wise and to choose the best leaders as a reflection of trust in those who will run the country.
Previously, the veteran columnist posted a heartfelt birthday message for Lani Mercado, who turned 57 on April 13. She praised Lani’s strength, loyalty, and her role as the legal wife of Senator Bong Revilla despite his child outside their marriage. The showbiz columnist emphasized the value of being the legitimate wife and highlighted Lani’s dignity and grace through personal challenges. Lastly, Lolit expressed pride in Lani’s children and called her a loyal, unchanged, and admirable woman through the years.
