Karla Estrada revealed on social media that her mother, Thelma Ilago, got into an accident in her house in Tacloban.

According to Karla, her 77-year-old mom fell after tripping over some power cords on the floor.
Because of the injury, Thelma had to be taken to Manila for surgery.
Fortunately, she survived the injury and is now on her way to recovery. Karla urged people to maintain a safe environment for elderly people to avoid injuries.

“Time out from my daily routine today..it’s momshie Thelma time. Ok my mom got into an accident from wires ng furniture na nakakalat sa mga sahig kaya sya ay nasariki!(napatid).
“Kaya naman ang advice nya sa mga kapwa nya lolas ay mag ingat at laging tumingin sa mga dinadaanan. At sa mga kasama sa house ng ating mga elders ay please paki clear ang laging nilalakaran ng ating mga momshie or mga elders sa bahay or Saan pa man. Ito po ay nangyari sa aking momshie Thelma when she was in tacloban.
“Na stress talaga ang momshie karls nyo ng bongga ng malaman ko! Kaya pinadala ko na agad here sa manila for her surgery. Thank GOD na survive nya ang surgery nya bilang 77yrs old na sya, but very strong and happy soul talaga ang nanay ko kaya big help sa kanyang very fast na recovery! AMEN!..I’m so proud of you ma! Let’s Rejoice in the name of our good LORD!!! Kaya mga momsh always take care of our elders talaga! Malayang umaga mga mamsh,” Karla posted on Instagram.
Karla Estrada is a well-known actress, singer and television host in the Philippines. She is the mother of superstar actor Daniel Padilla. Her other children are Magui, Jose Carlito, and Carmela Ford. The celebrity mom became more popular due to her morning talk show “Magandang Buhay.”
