In a heartbreaking announcement on Instagram, Melissa revealed that her youngest daughter, Molly, passed away on Christmas morning. Melissa shared the news with her followers through a touching post, describing the painful moment the sisters were brought back together in spirit. “On Christmas morning, our sweet Molly girl, and her big sister Abi were reunited,” she wrote. The family described themselves as being in a state of total disbelief and shock, struggling to process a day that should have been filled with joy but was instead marked by trauma.
“We are devastated. In disbelief. Confused and in shock. We are exhausted and shaken after a day filled with trauma and heartbreak,” the grieving mother added. She noted that Molly had struggled with the absence of her sister since April, often asking her mother when they would see Abi again.
While the family originally dealt with uncertainty regarding Abi's death, Molly’s passing has provided some difficult answers. Melissa shared that while there is no official diagnosis yet, doctors suspect a hereditary issue. “The doctors believe Molly had a genetic heart condition and suspect this may have been the case with Abi as well,” she explained.
