Marlo Mortel, sinabing may actors na naging jowa ng managers para sumikat

- However, he clarified that he has nothing against actors who are open to that kind of relationship

Marlo Mortel made some shocking revelations in his recent interview.

According to Marlo, there have been some actors who got into romantic relationships with talent managers and backers so that they would be given more projects in showbiz.

He told PUSH (authored by Leo Bukas) that those managers are influential and powerful but that he is not open to getting into relationships with them. However, Marlo said that he has nothing against actors who accept those kinds of offers.

“Siyempre naniniwala ako talaga na malaki ang influence nila. Kasi totoo naman, di ba, powerful sila.

“Hindi naman ako against diyan. Hindi naman kasi natin alam yung mga nangyayari behind the scenes, di ba? Pero ako kasi, never kong tinry (sinubukan) na makipagjowa. Hindi talaga, kaya din ako nahihirapan siguro.

“Ako kasi pinagdanan ko yung hirap, kasi wala naman akong kinabitan na kahit sino. Talagang on my own lang ako kasi hindi nga ako kumabit kahit kanino.

“Naging manager ko si Kuya Germs, tinutulungan niya ako, pero hanggang do’n lang yon – manager relationship. Pero yung more than that, hindi, eh,” Marlo told PUSH.

Marlo responded in the affirmative when asked if he has received indecent offers in the past from managers. However, he made it clear that he refused those offers.

“Meron… meron din naman. Pero kanya-kanya naman kasi yang ano, eh, to each his own kumbaga. Wala akong against kung yung iba gusto nila yon, no problem it’s you.

“If that’s how you make it, why not? If that’s what makes you happy, why not? Pero kasi ako, happy ako sa part na nano-notice yung talent ko at yon din yung pinaglalaban ko ever since kahit wala akong manager – yung talent.

“Parang hindi ko kailangang (pumatol)… at saka never ko naman siyang ginawa,” Marlo explained.
