Sari Yap, the founder of Mega Magazine, passed away today, September 9, 2019.
According to Yap’s sister Ria, Yap had been battling with ovarian cancer before her death.

Mega Magazine gave details on Yap’s death on their Facebook page:
“Just as the heavens are draped in an overcast of gray, with rains threatening to fall as if it were tears above, it is with a heavy heart we mourn the passing of our founder and guiding light, Sari Yap, who peacefully joined our creator at 2:07 am today, in the presence of her family who survives her.”
Sari Yap was the founder and CEO of Mega Magazine, the first Filipino-owned fashion magazine. Later on, she was also able to establish One Mega Group, whose assistant vice president is Suki Salvador.
Salvador posted on Facebook to share details on Yap’s wake.
