- A barangay tanod in Cavite noticed something strange while watching a CCTV footage
- The video seems to show a man walking through a padlocked gate
- A video expert confirmed that the footage was unedited but gave a logical explanation on what really happened
A barangay tanod in Cavite named Roberto got the scare of his life when he saw on CCTV a man who appears to have been able to walk through a padlocked gate.
His story was featured on the GMA-7 program “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.”
When the footage was taken to a video expert, the latter confirmed that the video was unedited.
However, the expert has a logical explanation for it – optical illusion. He explained that an optical illusion called “camera moire” could occur when there are stripes in the image, which in this case are the bars of the gate.
Due to the “camera moire,” the man seemed like he was walking through the gate when he was actually jumping over it.
The man in the viral footage, Edwin Gamboa, confirmed the video expert’s analysis.
Here are some of the reactions from netizens who watched the feature:
“Mabuti na lang my video expert.. I salute you Sir!”
“Ang disiplinado naman ng Barangay na to. Haha. May gate to keep their citizens safe. And with matching CCTV and watchmen pa. Haha. Sana all”
“at the end of the day, my logical reason pa rin na lilitaw.”
