President Rodrigo Duterte’s three children are about to assume the highest elective posts in Davao City. KAMI learned that the election results of the three Duterte candidates have been revealed.
In a post by the Philippine Star, reelectionist Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio gained 565,284 votes based on the partial results and from 97.01 percent of election returns.
Meanwhile, Sebastian “Baste” Duterte ran unopposed as a vice mayor and garnered 543,317 votes and Paolo “Pulong” Duterte had 195,074 votes as the Davao City 1st district representative.
Sara Duterte served as the mayor of Davao City from 2010 to 2013. She ran again for the mayoralty post in 2016 and won.
Pulong also became the vice mayor of Davao City in 2013 and had his second term in 2016. However, he resigned in 2017 after being involved in different controversies.
This is the first time that youngest son of President Duterte, Baste, will be entering politics.
