Vice Ganda received negative comments from netizens after he decided to endorse “Otso Diretso” senatorial bet Chel Diokno for the 2019 polls.
KAMI learned that the famous comedian made the much-talked-about announcement on May 9 through his social media account.
Vice expressed on his post that he is rooting for a senatorial candidate who has the ability to serve and is smart enough in dealing with different matters.
He also stated that he is just thinking of the public when he made the decision to endorse Chel of the opposition.
The former “Praybeyt Benjamin” star also called on his supporters to help include the said human rights lawyer in the so-called “Magic 12.”
“Matalino, magaling at matino si CHEL DIOKNO,” he quipped.
“Iboboto ko sya para sa lahat ng Madlang People na naghahangad ng bansang may hustisya. Sana maisama nyo rin sya sa iboboto nyong 12,” he added.

Because of this, the Kapamilya comedian immediately drew flak on social media, as many netizens disliked his endorsement.

“Hindi tanga ang mga voters. Hindi porket followers mo ay susundin ka sa tanging karapatan na bumoto sa kanyang napiling kandidato.”
“Bakit iyong 12.3 milyon na followers mo ba sunod-sunuran din sayo? Vice, alalahanin mo, magkaiba ang buhay artista at buhay pulitika kaya 101% di ka susundin.”
“Meme Vice, ba’t siya pa ang ini-endorse mo? Tuloy maba-bash ka rin niyan! Ikaw lang ang matalino meme Vice pero ang ini-endorse mo, ewan.”
However, despite receiving negative comments, the comedian still drew support from some “Otso Diretso” supporters as they thanked him for voicing out his “good” choice.
