The actress was unveiled as the aesthetic brand's newest ambassador during the Tala Awards 2026, held at the Grand Ballroom of Solaire Resort in Parañaque. The event marked a significant occasion for Merz Aesthetics, bringing together nearly 500 prominent aesthetic doctors and partner clinics in the Philippines.

With the theme "Confidence Without Limits," the gathering celebrated advancements in aesthetic medicine while highlighting the importance of self-confidence and making informed choices about personal wellness.

Following her introduction, Bernardo sat down with event host Jackie Go for a conversation about beauty standards, skincare, and the value of taking care of oneself.

The actress observed that people have become more knowledgeable about beauty and wellness, allowing them to make better decisions about their personal care routines.

"I think people today are more informed than ever. We see so much information about wellness, skincare, and treatments, and we've realized that taking care of ourselves isn't just about looking good today — it's about feeling confident for years to come. For me, beauty has become less about chasing perfection and more about making thoughtful choices that support you in the long run," she shared.

She also considers skincare an important part of investing in one's future, much like education, career development, and health.

When asked what advice she would give her younger self, the box office queen stressed the importance of developing good skincare habits before problems arise.
