11 reported dead, 81 hurt, and 24 missing caused by magnitude 6.1 earthquake in Luzon

A strong earthquake rocked some parts of Luzon on Monday afternoon. KAMI learned that the death toll brought by the Luzon quake has risen to 11.
In a report by the ABS-CBN News (authors Michael Joe Delizo, Dennis Datu, Gracie Rutao, and Lyza Aquino) five people died at a supermarket in Porac, Pampanga.
According to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office in Pampanga, there were three more reported dead in Porac.
Meanwhile, in Lubao, one grandmother and her granddaughter died when falling walls trapped them. In addition, a 6-year-old was killed by a landslide in San Marcelino, Zambales.

As reported by the GMA News, around 81 people were reported hurt by the Luzon quake, and 24 are still missing.
Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said that the PHIVOLCS is closely monitoring the situation after the magnitude 6.1 earthquake.
In a previous report by KAMI, a strong earthquake shocked many Filipinos in Luzon. From magnitude 5.7, the PHIVOLCS upgraded it to magnitude 6.1. Intensity V was felt in Manila City, Quezon City, and San Felipe, Zambales.
