Gary Valenciano's mother Grimilda Santiago-Ortiz passes away
- Gary Valenciano revealed in an Instagram post on April 18 that his mother, Grimilda Santiago-Ortiz has passed away at the age of 84
- Tita Grimi, or Mamita as some would like to call her, suffered from pneumonia, congestive heart failure, and H1n1 flu
- In order to look back on her memories, Gary posted on social media a video of his mom when she was still alive

Gary Valenciano revealed in an Instagram post that his mother, Grimilda Santiago-Ortiz, or better known as Mamita, passed away at the age of 84 in Orlando at 12:42 pm.
His mother fought against pneumonia, congestive heart failure, and H1n1 flu which all came to her almost at the same time.
The celebrity went to the US for his "He's Back" concert tour. Unfortunately, during his stay there, he lost his beloved mother.
He posted a video on his social media accounts to commemorate the memory of his mama Grimi and captioned it saying, "Today at 12:42pm here in Orlando (12:42am in Manila) ...my mom was welcomed home in to the arms of her Lord and savior Jesus Christ."
Due to this sad incident, rumors spread that his concert tour in the US would be cancelled. However, he assured everyone who has already bought a ticket that the show will push through.
