Melai Cantiveros broke her silence regarding the issue about her and her husband Jason Francisco. The rumors started with the blind items alluding to a celebrity couple who allegedly attended an out of town event where they were avoiding each other according to reports.
They were seated separately in a lunch out with the group. Going back to Manila, the couple rode in separate cars.
Melai's rare posting of pictures with husband in social media fueled the rumors even more.

The Magandang Buhay clarified the speculations through an interview with Darla Sauler of Push Now Na. According to Melai, there is no truth to the rumors that they are separated. She however admitted that their relationship is somewhat on the rocks.
“Ang totoo sa Melason is hindi ko talaga masasabi na okay, hindi ko [rin] masabi na hindi kasi normal sa mag-asawa ang magkaroon ng trouble,” Melai shared.
The former PBB housemate also said that what they are going through is just normal in every marriage. “Normal naman sa mag-asawa ang magkaroon ng problema kasi walang perfect na marriage, walang perfect na relasyon. Ang masasabi ko talaga is we are in the state of calamity,” Melai quipped.

Melai also addressed the speculations springing from her social media postings. According to her, her social media posts should not be an indicator of their relationship status. The couple also agreed to be as private as possible since their love story started started in the public eye.
The comedienne also assured their followers that they are trying to fix their marriage. ‘Wag kayong malungkot siyempre mag-asawa na kami walang makakabuwag,” she said.
Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco came to prominence after being part of Pinoy Big Brother. They are among the PBB lovers who ended up together. They have separated after almost three years of marriage. They tied the knot on December 9, 2013 at the Holy Cross Parish in General Santos City, three months after the comedienne announced her pregnancy.
