Two commentators in the Miss Universe 2018 pageant instantly became the subjects of public interest as some netizens noticed that they kept on “ignoring” Catriona Gray.
KAMI learned that Carson Kressley and Lu Sierra were hardly bashed on social media for not including the Pinay beauty queen in their picks.

There were speculations about the two hosts having personal dislike on Catriona but they have yet to air their sides about this recent controversy.
Yesterday, December 17, reporter Dyan Castillejo had a chance to speak with Boy Abunda and she was asked about the issue involving Carson and Lu.
The journalist, who has been in Thailand for more than 10 days already and was at the venue during the Coronation Night, expressed that she did not feel that the two ignored Catriona.
Nonetheless, she thinks that the two commentators were just trying to be impartial since they know that the Bicolana model was already the crowd favorite.

Dyan also emphasized that during the rehearsals, Lu was fair in giving the instructions to each candidate that was why the reporter did not feel that they were ignoring the newly-crowned Miss Universe.
“No, hindi ko na-feel yun. Kasi I just thought that maybe they were trying to be objective because they were like commentators. Siguro maybe na-feel nila na si Cat was really the hands-down favorite ng lahat. Ang dami nang nagchi-cheer sa kaniya,” she quipped.
“So definitely we didn’t feel na parang hindi siya pinapansin. Kasi si Lu was there all the time during the rehearsal and she was giving everybody the same kind of instruction,” the broadcast-journalist added.
