A Filipino woman named Mailyn Conde Sinambong was killed by her Swedish husband at their residence in Sweden on September 23.

KAMI learned that the victim’s husband is Steve Abou Bakr Aalam, a 50-year-old Swedish actor.

According to GMA News, the 28-year-old Pinay, who has two children, died due to being severely beaten.

"Aalam has been taken into custody and will be charged with murder," the Department of Foreign Affairs stated, as reported by ABS-CBN News.

The report added that Consul General Ma. Elena Algabre went to Sweden in order to make the necessary arrangements for the return of Sinambong’s remains to the Philippines.

Algabre also met with the lawyer and prosecutor in charge of the case.
