Amid rough relationship, Raquel Pempengco makes brave request to Jake Zyrus

Raquel Pempengco, the mother of Charice Pempengco who is now known as Jake Zyrus, made an appeal to her child despite personal issues with each other.
KAMI learned through Raquel’s social media post on September 18 that her mother is currently in the Intensive Care Unit or ICU.
Jake’s grandmother was rushed to the hospital after suffering a severe problem in her head.
"Please pray for her... She's in the ICU right now... (napatiran ng ugat sa ulo),” Raquel wrote.
Although she admitted that she is not a good daughter, she still feels the need to help her ailing mom.
She also expressed that her sick mother needs to see Jake because he is her favorite grandchild.
"Masama man akong anak sa tingin nya wala akong magagawa Nanay ko pa rin xa...” Raquel said.
"Sana magparamdam ang paborito nyang apo, ngayon xa kylangan nito... #PRAYFORHER," she added.
In a previous article by , Raquel accused Jake of lying about their life story that was featured in Maalaala Mo Kaya.
She said the episode, which put her in poor light, was false from the very beginning until the end.
Raquel gave birth to then Charice on May 10, 1992. Her husband and the father of Jake died in 2011 after being stabbed to death at their small grocery store in Sab Pedro, Laguna.
