Vocalist of ‘This Band’ breaks her silence about comparison issue with KZ Tandingan

The vocalist of hit musical group called “This Band” has finally opened up about the comparison issue between her and award-winning singer KZ Tandingan.
KAMI learned that there are rumors online that claimed Andrea Manzano is trying hard to imitate the former “X-Factor Philippines” champion.
Some netizens pointed out that the two aforementioned personalities have similarities when it comes to their singing style and the way they look on stage.
Because of this, the “Kahit Ayaw Mo Na” singer expressed in an interview with PUSH that KZ is one of her inspirations for pursuing a career in music.
She also revealed that it is okay for her to be compared to the “Soul Supreme” because she has been her idol ever since.
"Actually isa po siya sa influence ko,” Andrea quipped.
“And kung ma-compare din ako, okay lang kasi idol eh. Parang yun yung naging inspiration ko na kaya ako kumakanta at nagpapatuloy dahil sa kanya," she added.

When asked is she already got the chance to be with KZ, the vocalist stated that they were able to perform in a gig with other prominent singers.
Andrea is also looking forward to the time when both of them can collaborate or work together in a song.
”Nakasabay ko po sila sa gig. Si Ate Yeng, si Ate KZ, si Ate Moira,” she stressed.
”Sana po (mag-collaborate kami). In Jesus' name,” she added.

KZ Tandingan is an acclaimed musician in the Philippines who rose to fame after winning in the “X-Factor Philippines” in 2012.
Last year, she was chosen as a contestant in “The Singer 2018,” making her the first Filipina to participate in the said singing competition in China.
