Some netizens were not completely satisfied with KZ Tandingan's performance in the celebrity singing competition Singer 2018 in China.

On her 2nd performance, KZ sang a medley of Mandarin songs which made her take the 3rd spot in the overall ranking for the two weeks since she joined the competition.

As a challenger, she have to stay on the top 4 after her two performances so as she will not be eliminated.

She successfully got in the top 4 so she gets to stay in the competition.

In the Episode 6 of the show, she placed 6th place among the 8 contenders.

Her video of the first performance in the show went viral worldwide and gained praises among different nationalities.

She sang "Rolling in the deep" by Adelle during the fifth episode which made her gain the top spot.

Some netizens expressed their sentiments and dissatisfaction towards KZ's performance in Twitter.

One of them suggested that she should have just sang an english song like what she did on her first performance.

According to KZ's response, aside from gaining votes from the viewers, she would like to have a connection towards the Chinese audience.

According to another netizen, KZ sang "Anak" of Freddie Aguilar and was quite disappointed with her standing.

“if thats true then you can see that people didnt relate.”

According to the netizen, KZ should have chosen a more recent song.

KZ answers back and said people should not believe easily on the hearsay.

Again the netizen ansered back that music is entertainment, “especially in a music contest where judges are present.”

KZ replied once again that there are no judges in the show.

She also added, “music isnt just about entertainment, it is an expression, a language, a connection, an art.”
