Angel Locsin finally shares her true feelings on leaving 'La Luna Sangre'

- Angel Locsin's last appearance as Jacintha was aired on Tuesday, January 9

- The actress said her exit was long overdue

- She adds that it was the most challenging characters she ever portrayed

Fans will no longer see Angel Locsin play the hybrid vampire-hunter Jacintha Magsaysay on the popular fantasy series "La Luna Sangre".

On the January 9 episode, Jacintha disappeared into thin air after successfully helping Malia stop Sandrino's reign of terror.

Fans who are hoping that there will be a surprise twist that would save Jacintha will be disappointed because Angel herself said she is done with the show.

In a report by ABS-CBN, Angel said her exit was already delayed too many times. She added that she really needed to bow out.

The actress, however, clarified that she enjoyed playing Jacintha.

"It was one hell of a ride to play Jacintha. Kahit ako kasi hinuhulaan ko pa rin kung sino si Jacintha. Na-enjoy ko rin siya. Natutuwa din naman ako sa mga reactions ng tao kasi first time ko din mag-play ng ganun, na medyo antagonist 'yung dating," said Angel.

She said the role was one of the most challenging characters she had portrayed.

"Gusto ko 'yung hindi mo siya mabasa kung good or bad. For me kasi Jacintha is a hero. Handa siyang i-sacrifice 'yung buhay niya para sa ikabubuti ng nakakarami," said Angel.

Her character may have vanished, but Angel teased fans to stay tuned so they can finally know Jacintha's true identity.

She also thanked the viewers who followed the wolf trilogy since she played Lyka in "Lobo" in 2008.

"Nagpapasalamat ako sa lahat ng sumuporta sa moonstone trilogy, especially dito sa "La Luna Sangre", sa story nila Kath and DJ. Suportahan niyo po kasi marami pang magagandang mangyayari," said Angel.

"La Luna Sangre" is the third installment in the moonstone trilogy, a saga about vampires and werewolves.

The trilogy started with "Lobo" in 2008 and was followed by "Imortal" in 2010.

Angel played both lead characters in the first two installments.

The actress is currently one of the judges on the latest season of "Pilipinas Got Talent".
