Sanchez shared her thoughts on Instagram, making it clear that the issue was particularly meaningful to her because of her advocacy for the inclusion of persons with disabilities, or PWDs.
“As someone who advocates for the inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), malapit sa puso ko ang issue involving Josh Aquino,” she said.
The actress stressed that people with disabilities should be treated with the same respect, care, and dignity afforded to everyone else. She argued that ridicule should never be justified as entertainment or content.

“Deserve ng bawat PWD ang respeto, malasakit, at dignidad not ridicule for the sake of content,” Sanchez wrote.
She also pointed out that genuine inclusion involves more than simply providing opportunities to people with disabilities. For her, inclusion must extend to how society accepts, treats, and values PWDs in everyday life.
“Ang tunay na inclusion ay hindi lang pagbibigay ng opportunities, kundi ang pagtanggap at pagtrato sa kanila nang may respeto, pagmamahal at pagpapahalaga,” she said.
Sanchez further asked people to consider the human beings behind content that is posted and shared online. She reminded her followers that the people being discussed are not merely subjects for entertainment but individuals who have families and communities that can be deeply affected by hurtful remarks.
“Let us remember na behind every content is a real person, a loving family, and a community na maaaring masaktan sa ating mga salita,” she wrote.
Her statement comes amid widespread criticism directed at the podcast over its treatment of Josh, with the controversy prompting discussions about ableism, online responsibility, and the limits of comedy. Sanchez encouraged content creators and public personalities to exercise greater sensitivity in the way they make jokes.
“Be funny without being cruel. Be influential without being insensitive,” she said.
She specifically appealed to people not to turn persons with disabilities into objects of ridicule simply to entertain an audience.
“Huwag gawing katatawanan ang mga Persons with Disabilities para lang magpasaya ng madla,” Sanchez added.
The actress concluded her message with a concise statement about the foundation of genuine inclusion: “Inclusion begins with respect. Always.”
Sanchez’s remarks add to the growing public conversation surrounding the controversy involving Josh Aquino. The issue has drawn reactions from several personalities who have emphasized the importance of protecting the dignity of persons with disabilities.
