Julia Montes and Coco Martin still close despite decoupling

-  Coco Martin and Julia Montes did not deny that they have a special friendship despite not being paired with each other recently 

- The 'Doble Kara' actress affirmed that she remains close with her former love team partner and admitted she is more comfortable with having people older than her as friends

- Her afternoon series has already run for a year but is showing no signs of ending soon now that it has entered its fifth season 

If Coco Martin said that he remains close with his former love team partner, Julia Montes, it makes the public wonder if the 'Doble Kara' actress also thinks the same.

The press had a chance to talk with the young actress during a set visit to her show, which has already reached its fifth season a year after its release.

She said that the show is far from over and even shared that there will be more stories to be uncovered.

"Naku marami pa po kasi even kami nasha-shock kapag nagbabasa kami ng script 'grabe no, grabe no.' So marami pa po at marami pang kwento ang papasok," she said.

(Oh, there is still a lot [ of episodes] and even we get shocked whenever we read the script, 'oh my gosh, oh my gosh.' So there will still be plenty to cover and more stories that will be added in.)

When finally asked about her personal life, she admitted that her closeness with Martin has not changed to the point she is aware of repeating the same answer in previous interviews.

"Kung ako din naman 'yung tatanungin si Coco din naman 'yung pinaka-close ko at talagang lagi ko ding sinasabi kahit (balikan) pa natin ang interviews sa kanya ako kampante," she said.

(If I were to be asked, Coco is still the one I am very close to and I always say that even if you go through my previous interviews that he's the one I'm most comfortable with.)

The actress was also not bothered by their ten-year age gap and shared that they understand each other well and enjoy each other's company.

"Ako sa friends, sa lahat mas okay ako sa mas older, kasi mas gusto ko 'yung mas may natutunan ako, hindi 'yung explore, explore then after wala lang," she added.

(With friends, I feel I am in better company when I'm with someone older because I like it when I learn from them, not just exploring around and then nothing happens after.)

'Doble Kara' has been an afternoon mainstay for a year but that does not mean she wants to play roles she has played before. She also expressed her willingness to step out of her comfort zone and pick acting jobs that will challenge her more as an actress as soon as the show wraps up.

Her series has her portraying a dual role where she plays twins with completely different personalities.
