During her interview with the “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” team ahead of her contract renewal as a Sparkle GMA Artist Center artist, the actress and fashion icon addressed the remark she made while hosting “The People Have Spoken.”

Heart explained that when she used the word “friends,” she was referring to people she considers close and meaningful in her life, rather than simply having a large circle of acquaintances.

She said, “Ang ibig sabihin ko, if I can explain, I'd rather have a handful of friends than an army of acquaintances. 'pag sinabi mo kasing friends, parang friends lang. Pero iba 'yung 'pag trinato mo ng pamilya.”

Heart then clarified that, if given the chance to restate her answer, she would choose her family and true friends over having a large amount of money.

She added, “Pero sa totoo lang, para sa akin, babawiin ko 'yun. I'd rather have my family and my real friends than a lot of money.”

Heart ended her clarification on a lighthearted note, acknowledging that having both genuine relationships and financial security would be ideal. She said, “Pero kung sabay, okay din.”
