It was very difficult,” said Boy.

He then explained why Jobert specifically requested that he be notified first. According to Boy, the request stemmed from a promise they had shared long before Jobert's passing.

At I promised to do that.”

The veteran broadcaster said he intends to fulfill that promise by ensuring that Jobert receives a respectful farewell. Addressing Jobert's son, Carlo Brian, Boy reiterated his commitment to the family.

Boy also extended his deepest sympathies to Jobert's loved ones.

“Kaya sa lahat ng pamilya at kay Carlo, kay Brian, kami ay taos-pusong nakikiramay,” he said.

Beyond their professional relationship, Boy reflected on the strong friendship they had built over the years. He shared that Jobert and his family had always been close to him, making the loss even more painful.
