A video clip of the exchange soon circulated on social media, where it generated mixed reactions from viewers. While some questioned Vice's sincerity, many others saw the interaction as a positive sign that the two personalities may eventually put the past behind them.

Several netizens expressed optimism that Vice and Jessica could finally meet on screen one day. Some even hoped that Vice might appear as a guest on Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho or that Jessica could visit It's Showtime in the future.

Others, however, remained skeptical and recalled the controversy that started more than a decade ago.

The issue dates back to 2013 after Jessica criticized a joke Vice made during his concert, I-Vice Ganda Mo Ako sa Araneta. The award-winning journalist publicly objected to the comedian's remarks, saying that rápe should never be used as material for comedy.

Following the backlash, Vice immediately issued a public apology to Jessica for his statement.

Before this latest viral moment, speculation had already surfaced when It's Showtime began airing on GTV. Some viewers believed it increased the possibility of Vice appearing on a GMA Network program, with many mentioning either Fast Talk with Boy Abunda or Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho as possible venues for a future meeting.
