Filipino actress and cosplayer Myrtle Sarrosa has expressed deep concern after Indonesian cosplayer Nekonoi Katsu also fell victim to an alleged mobile phone theft during the recent ToyCon convention held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

Myrtle previously took to her official Facebook page to plead for the return of her phone, citing the irreplaceable digital files, media, and work-related content stored on the device. To encourage its return, she offered a reward of P30,000 to anyone who could safely turn over the phone, assuring that no questions would be asked.
The situation became more alarming when Myrtle discovered that she was not the only guest affected during the convention. She later took to Instagram Stories to share a post originally uploaded by Nekonoi Katsu, an international guest cosplayer from Indonesia who experienced a similar incident while at her booth.

In the post, Nekonoi Katsu recounted how her phone was purportedly stolen while she was busy setting up her convention area. She wrote:
“Today is the most heart breaking time of my life. It's happen so fast while I'm arranging my booth. it's believed the thief is targeting guest and international guest. I manage to track it and it is stay in the same position as @myrtlegail lost phone. I'm waiting the CCTV footage from the venue but they cannot guarantee how long to check the footage. I also done the police report. My 8 years file of memory is in there. I'm still hoping the phone to come back again.”
Echoing Nekonoi Katsu's sentiments and raising concerns about the safety of convention guests, Myrtle shared her thoughts on Instagram Stories. She expressed sadness over the incident and speculated that guest artists may have been specifically targeted during the event.
“Omg! This is so heartbreaking. I was hoping no one else would suffer today from theft but siguro nga they're really specifically targeting guest artists. I hope that @nekonoikatsu can also find her phone.”
The situation has sparked concern among fans, with both cosplayers expressing hope that their lost devices may still be recovered.

Myrtle Sarrosa, born on December 7, 1994, rose to fame after winning Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition 4 in 2012. Before entering mainstream entertainment, Myrtle was already active in the cosplay community and eventually became one of the “Star Magic Angels.” She is currently managed by Sparkle GMA Artist Center under GMA Network.

She also clarified that there is no indecent content on her phone, which mainly consists of cosplay footage, gameplay recordings, business contacts, and behind-the-scenes videos.
Earlier, Myrtle shared the heartbreaking news of the passing of her beloved grandmother, Lola Aleli Porlucas. The actress and cosplayer said her grandmother greatly influenced her love for music, performance, and cosplay from a young age. She reflected on the constant support and encouragement she received throughout her journey. Myrtle also apologized to fans after cutting short her appearance at the CODM Summer Fest due to their family’s loss.
