In a Facebook post, Rovelyn shared the video of Baldwin's statement and expressed that no apology could ever compensate for the loss of her child.

“Dili madala sa apologies ang kamatayon sa akong anak,” she wrote.
This translates to, “Apologies cannot make up for the death of my child.”

Still grieving, the mother questioned how the incident was initially described and revealed her frustration over the lack of communication she allegedly experienced during the tragedy.

"I want you to understand exactly what happened and why you say it was just an accident. You said it was just an accident, but you didn't update me when it happened," she said.

Rovelyn also shared that she was devastated because she initially thought her son had merely been involved in an accident. According to her, she was unaware at first that he had already died.

"You posted on social media that my child had died, but you didn't send me a picture to prove that my child was really dead," she claimed.

Her emotional remarks drew sympathy from many supporters and followers, with several people leaving messages of condolence for the Baterbonia family in the comments section.

The controversy comes after Baldwin publicly acknowledged his shortcomings following Rene's passing. In his statement, the veteran coach admitted responsibility and reflected on his role amid the tragedy.

“I failed as a leader and as a coach,” Baldwin said.

He also appealed for understanding and unity during what he described as a difficult period, while asking the public to continue offering prayers.

Despite the apology, Rovelyn's statements highlighted the deep pain and unanswered emotions she continues to carry as she mourns the loss of her son.
