“She has always been one of my inspirations in pursuing a life filled with dreams,” she wrote.

According to Myrtle, her Lola Aleli played a huge role in encouraging her creativity while she was growing up.

“Growing up, she was one of the reasons why I learned how to play the piano, started singing, and why I started performing,” she shared.

The actress fondly recalled how her grandparents would always watch her performances and support her dreams even before she entered showbiz.

“My grandparents always loved seeing me on stage, but my Lola had a way of making me feel special long before I ever stepped onto one,” she added.

Myrtle also became emotional while remembering how her grandmother supported her during the early days of her cosplay journey — a hobby that was still often misunderstood years ago.

“Even at home, when I would make a huge mess while creating costumes and when I first started cosplaying over a decade ago… she never made me feel embarrassed for being different,” Myrtle recounted.

Instead of criticizing her, her grandmother reportedly encouraged her to continue pursuing what made her happy.

“She would support me, encourage me, and let me keep chasing the things that made me happy,” she said.

The actress also reflected on the quiet sacrifices and acts of love her grandmother consistently showed throughout the years.

“She would wake up super early at 5am just to make sure we were well-fed. As a child, I thought those things were ordinary,” Myrtle shared.
“Now that I’m older, I realize they never were. That was how she consistently showed her love,” she added.

Looking back on her life and career, Myrtle realized that long before the applause, television appearances, and recognition, there was already someone rooting for her wholeheartedly.

“Before the stages, lights, and applause, there was already one person cheering for me from the very beginning,” she wrote emotionally.

Myrtle concluded her tribute by expressing her faith and hope that her grandmother is now peacefully with God.

“I know that you are with the Lord Jesus now, finally at peace in His loving embrace,” she said.
