In a bid to put an end to persistent social media rumors, talent manager Beverly Labadlabad has issued a strong and clear denial of a romantic relationship with her client, internet sensation Elias J TV.

In a press conference held on Wednesday at the Century Park Hotel, Labadlabad, flanked by her legal team, addressed the allegations that arose from "sweet" photos of the two circulating online, which have led to a wave of online bullying against her.
The speculation surrounding the nature of their relationship became a trending topic on social media, with many users questioning their closeness.
The rumors became so widespread that Elias Lintucan, famously known as Elias J TV, had to make his own public statement, clarifying that his interactions with Labadlabad were "just work."
However, this did little to quell the rumors, prompting Labadlabad to take a more formal approach.
With her lawyers, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio and Atty. Ivan Patrick Ang, by her side, Labadlabad firmly stated that she is not a "mang-aagaw" (mistress). " May asawa po ako," she clarified. "‘Yung lahat ng mga trending ngayon, ang masasabi ko ay hindi po mang-aagaw si Ms. Beverly. So, ‘yun na po ‘yun."
She also described her professional relationship with her talent, saying she treats Elias "like a brother."
She emphasized that her role as a manager requires them to have a close working relationship and constant communication, which may have been misinterpreted online.
Labadlabad also took the opportunity to shed light on the alleged jealousy of Elias J TV's wife, Abegail Cariquitan, which she believes is the source of the persistent rumors.
Labadlabad claimed that she had become aware of the wife's jealousy as early as May. In an effort to resolve the issue, she personally reached out to Abegail.
"Nag-message ako sa partner ni Elias. Sabi ko, ‘Baka mayroon kang time, then we can sit down together.’ Kung ano man ‘yung mga usap-usapan, upuan natin. So, ‘yun.' Nagkita kami sa Cebu. Sinabihan ko siya na trabaho lang talaga. May asawa po ako. Pinaliwanag ko sa puso niya. Pero hindi ko inasahan na mas lumala pala."
The manager lamented that even simple photos would trigger jealousy, making it difficult for her to manage her talent.
She revealed a failed attempt to have another face-to-face meeting with Abegail in July, right before the issue escalated.
Labadlabad, who manages not only Elias but his entire band, also pointed out that managing talent is a much tougher job than her previous work in the corporate world, and she hopes that the public will not interfere with their management decisions.
The popular manager, who has secured lucrative projects for Elias J TV, totaling over P5 million and including a car, ended her statement by expressing hope for a reconciliation and a genuine conversation to put all the issues to rest.
