Empress Schuck shared with KAMI her main reason why she decided to finally tie the knot with Vino Guingona six years after their daughter Athalia was born.

“Before, a lot of people are saying why hindi pa magpakasal eh may baby na naman kami. Ayoko sana na yun ang maging reason ng marriage namin. Although alam ko na doon din naman ang pupuntahan namin in the future, but ayoko madaliin just because of the pressure na may baby na.
“Siguro I was wating for something and I couldn’t find what would make me ready but I know I will just feel it and Vino was so supportive. So pandemic came and made us join a Bible study for couples and through learning God’s words, I realized not being married to Vino is a sin and would not make God happy.

“My purpose in life is to obey God so he will be please and that’s what we did. God was the answer I waited for. He was the one who told me, ready ka na and you don’t have to worry about anything, ako ang bahala. That’s what i felt at that time,” she told KAMI.

Furthermore, Empress credited her Christian faith in the improvement of her relationships with her husband, their daughter Athalia, and their family members and friends.

She also became quicker to forgive and has less anxiety because of her Christian faith.

“I learned to forgive quickly and surrender my worries to God. Pag nasaktan ako dati may grudge ako, but now God taught me na siya na ang bahala sa taong yun at ang gaan ngayon sa pakiramdam because I rest only in God’s words.
“Mas magaan at maayos ang relationship namin ni Vino, with Athalia, our families and friends. Because whatever we do now, it should be in His Honor and as much as possible we want to have a Christ-like character. Far from perfect but absolutely more blessed compared before,” Empress said.

Empress Schuck is an actress who is in a relationship with Vino Guingona, a grandson of former Philippine Vice President Teofisto Guingona Jr. and nephew of former Senator Teofisto Guingona III. She gave birth to their daughter Athalia Guingona on September 27, 2015.
