Jaymee Joaquin penned an inspiring testimony about her survival journey after getting diagnosed with cancer five years ago.

According to Jaymee, her mind and body have experienced so much suffering because of her illness.

She revealed that her doctors sometimes express their amazement about how she continues to live, smile and function despite her severe health condition.

The actress gave credit to God, her medical team, her loved ones, and all of her supporters for helping her continue in her journey.

She then promised to keep on making wonderful memories as long as she’s alive.

“The time I got a diagnosis that changed my life forever. And 5 years into this survival journey has been really really hard. My body, mind and spirit has been through so much physical and psychological suffering that my medical team even sometimes would wonder how I’m still living, smiling and functioning.
“’You look and feel great in person but worrisome on your medical charts and scans,’ one doctor even said.
“I give credits to my faith in a Higher Power out there who is looking out for me… who I believe will have the final verdict regardless of statistics or prognosis. The strong will to keep living because of a legacy I’m still creating.

“My vigilant and patient medical team who’s always on top of things. And all the love and prayers from every single soul in this planet rooting for my healing. (That includes all you loyal social media followers who stuck around through all this craziness! THANK YOU!)
“So grateful to this resilient body who keeps taking the beating and despite all the scars from surgeries and drug infusions, still allows me to function and fulfill my purpose on Earth and make beautiful memories with loved ones. Thankful beyond words to still be alive today and all the days I get to wake up to keep breathing and thriving,” Jaymee wrote on Instagram.

Jaymee Joaquin is a former actress, host and model. She got diagnosed with cancer in 2016 and went to remission in 2017. The cancer went back in 2019 and once again in early 2020.

Last year, Jaymee made the news after she revealed that she got hospitalized due to her cancer. The former TV host said that she got concerned about getting hospitalized because of the risk of getting infected with COVID-19.

Jaymee also earned praises for her honesty about the difficulty of battling cancer. She admitted to having depression when she got diagnosed with cancer for the second time. According to Jaymee, it was much worse than her first diagnosis.
