Kiray Celis expressed her disbelief, grief, sadness, and was even pleading that the news that must have reached her about Noeme "Mahal" Tesorero's passing was not true.
The comedienne took to Facebook and made an appeal.
"Wag po... wag po... wag naman sana... sana hindi totoo. Wag po..."

However, the news was true.
Mahal passed away on Aug. 31. It was revealed by her sister Irene Tesorero through a Facebook post.
According to Irene, the cause of death of the comedienne was COVID-19.
She also said that there was no schedule for burial yet because of COVID-19 restrictions.
Aside from COVID-19, Mahal also suffered from gastrointestinal illness, which is said to be a complication of COVID-19.
Mahal, whose real name is Noemi Tesorero, is a Filipina comedienne and social media star. She starred in movies such as “Id'Nal (Mapusok)” (2012), “Kokey” (1997) and “Mr. Suave: Hoy! Hoy! Hoy! Hoy! Hoy! Hoy!” (2003). She is also fond of making vlogs with her very close friend, Mygz Molino.
Mahal, or Noemi Tesorero, has passed away this afternoon, August 31, at the age of 46. Her sister, Irene Tesorero, broke the news in a social media post. Prominent personalities then expressed their grief over the actress’s death. Among those celebrities are Jerald Napoles, Ken Chan, KaladKaren Davila, and Brenda Mage.
Irene, the sister of Mahal, revealed in a Facebook post that the cause of death of her sister is COVID-19. She said that there is no schedule yet for the burial of the comedienne due to COVID-19 restrictions. Mahal recently visited her long-time onscreen "partner" Mura and even signified that she would be helping him. She was also affected by the situation of Mura and said that she will be helping him.
