Angel Locsin, na-intimidate pala dati kay Solenn Heussaff: “Kasi siya IT Girl talaga noon pa”

Angel Locsin revealed in an interview recently that she used to be intimidated by Solenn Heussaff’s beauty.

The actress made the revelation in her interview with Matteo Guidicelli in his podcast called “MattRuns.”
Angel said she knows she also got what it takes to be considered for a commercial but she’s not really that beautiful.
“Alam kong maganda ako, pero hindi yung magandang-maganda. Alangan namang sabihin ko, ang pangit ko. Wala nang ibang pupuri sa akin kundi sarili ko,” Angel explained.

She then narrated that she and Solenn somehow often go to the same audition together.
“Kunwari si Solenn. Dati, lagi ko nakakasabay ‘yan sa VTR. Wala pang GMA nun. Mga commercial pa lang. Nagko-commute ako simula Caloocan papuntang Makati. So, nakailang bus ako, ‘tapos mag-e-MRT pa ‘ko.”
She said that even if she’s perspiring a lot, she would still continue with the audition.
“Pawis ka pa rin naman. Haggard ka pa rin. Papasok si Solenn, galing kotse. Ang ganda-ganda ni Solenn talaga!” Angel revealed.
Angel then admitted getting intimidated to the point that she would want to go home after seeing Solenn there.
“Alam mo yung gusto ko na lang umuwi kasi alam mong hindi ka makukuha, yung ganun,” the actress recalled.
After many years, both she and Solenn managed to make a name in showbiz and when she got the chance to talk to the he, Angel narrated what she felt then.
“Later on, after so many years, kinausap ko na si Solenn. ‘Solenn, alam mo ba dati pag pumupunta tayo sa audition, umuuwi na lang ako kasi alam kong hindi ako makukuha?’ Hindi niya ako natatandaan,” Angel laughingly recalled.
The actress, however, clarified that Solenn is very nice and she’s not a snob.
“Hindi siya yung snob, ah. Mabait talaga siya. So, tawa lang siya nang tawa, ‘Naku, Gel, sorry,’ gumaganun siya. ‘Ba’t ka, nagso-sorry?” Angel said.

Instead of quitting, Angel made all the discriminations and criticisms against her as her stepping stone towards success.
