Julia Montes was featured in a recently-released teaser video for the TV action TV series, “Ang Probinsyano.”

The show is so far the longest-running action TV series in the Philippines.

The actress, who will be portraying a new character named “Mara,” will be the last love of Cardo Dalisay, the main character of the show, portrayed by Coco Martin, according to the teaser.

On Tuesday this week, Julia thanked all her fans and those who continue to support “Ang Probinsyano.”

“Marami nang nangyari. At ngayon parating na ang huling pag-ibig. Julia Montes bilang Mara. Si Cardo totodo sa ika-6 na anibersaryo. Abangan sa FPJ's Ang Probinsyano,” the teaser announced.

Rumors have been circulating early last month that Julia might join the cast of “Ang Probinsyano,” though this was not confirmed until in the latter part of the month.

Fans were elated at the teaser video and at the announcement that Julia will be the last love of Coco in the show.

This is because most fans have long speculated that the two were real-life sweethearts.

They have been spotted together in various places, including going to Boracay for a vacation.

Coco and Julia have worked together on various projects in the past, including the hit series, “Walang Hanggan” and the blockbuster movie, “A Moment In Time.”

The last time the two worked together in a TV series was in 2015 for “Wansapanataym's Yamishita's Treasures.”

Mara Hautea Schnittka, better known as Julia Montes in the entertainment world, is a half-Pinay, half-German actress, model, and endorser. She was born on March 19, 1995 to Martin Schnittka and Gemma Hautea Pandacan, Manila, Philippines. Julia started acting at a very young age by appearing in the youth-oriented show Goin’ Bulilit and portraying guest roles on television. She rose to fame, however, when she portrayed the role of the spoiled and mean Clara del Valle in the hit TV series, Mara Clara. One year later, she made her debut on the big screen in the family-oriented movie drama titled Way Back Home. She also starred in the highly acclaimed romantic soap titled Walang Hanggan, for which she obtained the Princess of Philippine Television Award. She starred in many more TV soaps and movies, including Muling Buksan ang Puso, Ikaw Lamang, Doble Kara, Asintado, A Moment in Time, Halik sa Hangin, Padre de Familia, and many more.

Julia and Coco also have recently trended on social media due to their behind-the-scenes photos on "Ang Probinsyano." It can be recalled that the online community was stunned after it was confirmed that Julia would be joining Coco on the show. While details about her role in "Probinsyano" have yet to be disclosed, photos from their taping have surfaced and trended. CocoJul fans could not help but swoon over the sweetness of the two while on the set of the show which was captured in the said photos.

Following the news that Julia will be part of the "Ang Probinsyano" cast, several photos and video clips from the actress' first-day taping surfaced on social media. One video clip had CocoJul fans swooning as Coco rushed to help Julia after her motorcycle fell on the ground.
