The video of John Prats, the new ‘It’s Showtime!’ director, riding a dump truck on the way to the noontime variety show’s studios, has gone viral.
According to John, most of the roads on the way to the studio from his location were submerged in deep floodwaters, with some reaching waist-high.
Rather than miss the show, John decided to borrow one of his father’s dump truck and driver so he could go to the studio.
It’s Showtime’s new director said it was important for him to attend Saturday’s episode as it would be the day they would open the new segment called, “Madlang Pi-Poll.”
In a video that has now gone viral, John showed everyone his transportation in going to ABS-CBN.
“Hello madlang pipol!!! Eto po ang transpo ko papuntang ABS-CBN. Napaka importante kasi ng araw na to. Dahil mamaya na ang MADLANG PI-POLL,” the director explained.
He also said that he is doing all these for those who like to watch ABS-CBN shows.
“Para sa inyo gagawin namin ang lahat! In the service of the filipino people! Forever kapamilya,” he said.
Many praised the action of John, which include It’s Showtime hosts such as Vhong Navarro, Kim Chiu, Amy Perez, and Ion Perez.
John Paulo Quiambao Prats, more popularly known as John Prats, is a Pinoy actor, comedian, TV host, dancer, model, director, and entrepreneur. He was born on February 14, 1984 and started his showbiz career as a child star way back in 1992. John is the older brother of actress Camille Prats. He is now the director of ABS-CBN’s noontime variety show, “It’s Showtime!”
As the new director of ‘It’s Showtime,’ John is always ready to provide a helping hand, not only to the show’s cast, but to segment contestants, as well. Recently, he decided to help a contestant of Reinanay, Manilyn Malupa, who shared how her neighbor, Ate Baby, lent her her cellphone to audition for the said contest. The Reinanay contestant also revealed how she would go to her neighbor to borrow a mobile phone for her children who are having online classes. The hosts of the show as well as their director John Prats could not help but reach out to the strong mom.
As a family man, John and his wife, Isabel Oli, like to dwell on the practical side of things. When their youngest daughter, baby Forest, marked her first birthday, they decided to hold her birthday celebration in their garage. The actor and director then shared snapshots of the birthday celebration on social media. According to the celebrity dad’s post, their garage was stunningly transformed by event designer Teddy Manuel.
