Coco Martin, Julia Montes and JM de Guzman have worked together in various projects, including TV soaps and movies. Coco and Julia, in particular, were known for their TV series, Walang Hanggan. The backstory of the soap is loosely based on a 1990s movie, Hihintayin Kita Sa Langit, starring Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta. The series became such a huge success that it attained the highest rating nationwide at 45.4% viewer share. The critically acclaimed series also won several awards including Best Drama Actress at the PMPC Star Awards for Television, Prince of Philippine Television and Princess of Philippine Television at the GMMSF Box-Office Entertainment Awards, Outstanding Original Drama Series at the Golden Screen TV Awards, and many more.
The love team of Coco and Julia was such a success that many believed they were real sweethearts off-cam. The rumor has persisted up to present times though they did not confirm nor deny whether or not the rumors are true. Despite their non-confirmation, many continue to see them going places together. In March, photos of Coco and Julia in Boracay have gone viral previously after they were uploaded on social media. The viral photos were posted by fans who recognized both of them despite their face coverings. Many netizens became excited at the prospect that they are a romantic couple after all.
More recently, Coco and Julia were again spotted at the Outdoors Club in Greenhills. Like many other instances, Julia had a face covering and huge glasses that she might have worn purposely to hide her identity. Despite this, however, she was still recognized by many, perhaps because Coco’s own face- cover failed to fully hide his facial features.
