Richard Gomez's daughter ranks third in SEA Games qualifying competition for fencing

Mayor Richard Gomez shared his daughter's recent accomplishment on his Facebook page. Apparently, his daughter, Juliana competed in a qualifying fencing competition for the Southeast Asian Games where she managed to rank third in the senior women division.
In the photos posted by the Government of Ormoc City, Juliana can be seen wearing her fencing attire as she brandished her foil. Richard and his wife, Lucy Torres-Gomez can also be seen as they watched from the bleachers.
The post also included a congratulatory remark for the winners of the competition along with the list of the winner's names and their ranking.

"Congratulations to the winners of ‘2021 PFA Open Fencing Championship and Sea Games Qualifying’ facilitated by the Ormoc City Sports Office and City Mayor’s Office under the leadership of Mayor Richard I. Gomez, which event took place at the Ormoc City Superdome today, July 4."
The government also thanked the actor's wife for supporting the competition.

It seems that Juliana managed to inherit her father's renowned skill in fencing. It can be recalled that the mayor has won several fencing competitions in the past.

The two celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary on April 28 and on that day, Richard prepared grilled tuna and pasta for Lucy. The actor remarked there’s enough garlic to ward off any attempts of other women to lure him.
