The actor and comedian was the special guest of Aster Amoyo for the Father’s Day special of her online show, TicTALK.

The actor revealed that his father died when Bayani was only three years old and grew up in extreme poverty.

Nevertheless, the actor did not lose focus on his dream to finish school in the hopes of providing a better life for his mother after he graduates.

The comedian took on odd jobs, including being a porter at Divisoria so he could have money to continue going to college.

“Nagkargador ako sa Divisoria, pinag-aral ko sarili ko. Gusto kong mabigyan ng magandang buhay nanay ko bago man lang siya pumanaw,” Bayani revealed.

He says that he was able to finish his course of Mass Communications, though he did not have any photos as Bayani did not have any money to have his picture taken.

“Pag graduate ko, wala akong picture kasi wala naman ako’ng pambayad eh,” he recalled.

The actor revealed he even had to borrow money from a relative just so he could buy something to wear for his graduation day.

After graduation, he did not immediately land on the job he desired and instead, worked as a waiter for almost a year until he got a job as in the Set and Props section of a TV show, where he later became a writer, and eventually discovered as a comedian.

Bayani Rogacion, Jr., better known as Bayani Agbayani in the entertainment industry, is a Pinoy actor, singer, comedian, and host. He is the singer behind the iconic song, “Otso-otso.” Bayani was born on January 3, 1969 in Silang, Cavite. Bayani graduated from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines with the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications. He did not immediately got a job he would have wanted as a MassComm graduate and instead, worked as a waiter for several months. Later, he was hired to be one of the Set and Props crew, and eventually, rose to become a writer and discovered as a comedian.

Two years ago, Bayani disclosed that he received several offers from “Ang Probinsyano.” His supposed role was to become the father of Jessy Mendiola. The comedian also revealed the reason why it did not push through.

Approximately during that time, Bayani also successfully made the audience of “Minute To Win It” laugh. He threw a question about the relationship of Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola. The show’s host then responded to the inquiry of the comedian.
