Police Master Sergeant Hensie Zinampan of Police Security and Protection Group or PSPG has been arrested after allegedly shooting a 52-year-old woman in Quezon City.
The victim was soon identified to be Lilibeth Valdez, who according to her daughter, was just buying items at a store when the Zinampan grabbed her by the hair and shot her.
KAMI also learned that Zinampan was allegedly intoxicated during the night of the said incident.
Following this news, Zinampan's old Facebook post back in 2020 about being a "good cop" has caught the attention of netizens.
In his viral online post, Zinampan talked about his dedication towards his work as a police officer, "I am PMSg Hensie A. Zinampan 14 years in serving and protecting.
"Taas noo kong pinapanindigan ang integridad ng aking uniporme, buong puso ang dedikasyon sa trabaho. I AM PROUD TO BE A GOOD COP."
He even mentioned the case of Jonel Nuezca, a police officer who was caught on camera shooting an old woman point-blank.
According to Zinampan, the PNP has sworn to their duties to protect the people "with honor and integrity."
"While there are unfortunate incidents like this, the vast majority of you, PNP perform their sworn duties every day with honor and integrity to protect and serve the people.
"The sin of Nuezca is not the sin of the entire PNP, as we have seen during the past disasters and this pandemic, we place our lives on the line as first responders and frontliners."
At the end of his post, Zinampan also made use of the hashtags; "#MakaDiyosMakaTaoAtMakabansa, #MaramingPulisNaMagiting, #PulisAkoKakampiMo."
